Introduction
Welcome to my telehealth therapy practice - into a safe environment where healing and emotional wellness is not only possible, but within reach.
My goal as your therapist is to facilitate and guide us mindfully and safely into a validating connection with you. Therapy is a healing process that helps connect us more safely with ourselves and others. It is an attachment process that provides unconditional positive regard - all that is needed and is often lacking during times of perceived disconnection and stress.
In the process of forming an alliance, we will work together to clear through paths of uncertainty and challenge your fears and doubts. We will look at the roadblocks you are experiencing to better understand your predicament and to help you reach optimal relational health.
As we venture down this road of healing together, we can begin to uncover the ways you have learned to protect yourself and relationships with others and decide consciously together what feels adaptive and right and what part of the history of "self" may be getting in the way of experiencing more safety in your connection with yourself and others.

As you browse my website, you may come to understand the way I work. And I hope you will find my ethusiasm and dedication to seeing the world through the scientific lens of attachment. I would best describe myself as an attachment-based, emotion-focused, humanitarian therapist. What this means is that I value you and your inherent need to experience nurturing and to self-actualize. We all come into this world afterall as miracles of nature, kicking and screaming to explore and be nurtured.
My Background
I have over 20 years of experience. My education, training and experience is broad. I have experience working with families of children with emotional problems leading to behavioral problems at home and at school, as well as with adult individuals, couples and family's presenting with mild to more severe insecure attachment dynamics causing acute to chronic emotional distress.
Some common presenting concerns I work with include mild to severe depression and anxiety, trauma, abuse, self-esteem concerns, addictions including eating disorders, substance abuse, pain management, relationships problems and abuse causing panic, phobia and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and brief psychotic disorder.

I look forward to working with you on your important life journey. Please send me a message or schedule below.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is eclectic. I say this because, everything I have learned and experienced has influenced what I know today. I am influenced by many psychology models or paradigms that view the relationship between an individual's thoughts, emotions and behaviors as a necessary organizational process by which we achieve safety in predictability. As mammals and all other living organisms, we learn through experience. Yet, self-validation can be difficult to attain. I have found, over many years of work in this field, that achieving self-validation is difficult for far too many. It is part of my mission to help you to organize and process your experiences in a manner that allows you to easily reach self-compassion and the validation you deserve.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
I hope together, we can learn how family relationships, culture and the larger macro-environment have impacted and shaped who you are and what you know about yourself, others, and the world today.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are honored in my practice. Knowing the impact of racism, sexism, ageism, and other forms of discrimination, is vital to the path of becoming a therapist. The work of therapy is a journey of self-discovery and my aim, is not to make assumptions about who you are, but to find out more about the impact of your experiences.

I work hard to be aware of my own learned biases and assumptions and not to minimize, avoid, or ignore how biases or assumptions have affected you. We will explore what matters most to you, what is right or wrong for you, and how to let others know what is important, and to receive the support and validation and care you have always deserved and needed.

It matters that you are seen wholly in a way that makes you feel comfortable and safe. My hope is that together we explore how your life story comes alive, and restore its vitality and meaning.
